Understanding the Cost of Pet Cremation
Welcome to our entry on Understanding the Cost of Pet Cremation! We are the only Pet Cremation Service in Northern Kentucky that provides custom pricing for pet cremation based on each individual customer and their preferences and needs!
The cost of pet cremation can vary significantly depending on several factors, including the size of your pet, the type of cremation service you choose, and your plans for your pet’s ashes.
Size of Pet:
Larger pets generally cost more to cremate due to the increased time and resources required. Cremation costs are often based on weight, with prices increasing as the pet's weight goes up. While it is not true with every pet cremation service in Northern Kentucky, we don’t charge “base” rates for every animal…..birds and guinea pigs should not cost as much as large dogs.
Type of Cremation:
There are two main types of pet cremation:
Communal Cremation: Multiple pets are cremated simultaneously, and the ashes are not returned to the owner. This is the most cost effective option, but serves a small portion of pet owners as the ashes are not returned to the owner.
Private Cremation: Your pet is cremated privately, and the ashes are returned to you. This option is more expensive, but at Precious Memories we strive to provide options for every price point! If money is a hurdle, and you think that you cannot afford cremation, just talk to us and we’ll see what we can do.
If your plan is to scatter or bury the ashes, we have a less expensive option that uses an inexpensive container. If you wish to keep your pet near and in a visible location, we also have several options that include an urn. We provide choices in a wider price range so that everyone can keep their pet’s ashes near and choose the option that best suits their wishes and budget.
Additional Factors that can affect cost:
Pickup and delivery of your pet's remains.
Urns or memorial products.
Paw prints or other keepsakes above those included in the package you select.
